Join Northwestern Regional Library for a free talk on Aviation History in Northwest NC, northwestern NC (Surry, Stokes, Alleghany, Yadkin) aviation history from the creator of Abandoned and Little Known Airfields - with Paul Freeman. Freeman's website has entries on 2,697 airfields across the country and has been featured in AOPA Pilot Magazine, Popular Science, Flying Magazine, Airplanista, and many others.

The Mt. Pilot library is located at: 319 W Main Street, Pilot Mountain, NC

There is ample parking lot in the back of our library or if you prefer to fly, we are 10 minutes from the Mount Airy/Surry County Airport.
